We're going to take some inspiration from our lobbies in Duluth and St Paul. to show you how to feng shui your living room!
We're not professionals. I'm not a licensed Interior Designer (is that a thing?), however, we do know a thing or two about creating a welcoming environment. Here's what we're going to cover:
- Couch
- The Center Piece - Coffee Table
- The Theater Setup
- Window Film
- Personality
Let's work our way up:
Selecting The Perfect Couch:
The couch is the most important part of the living room. It's where you sit down after a long day's worth of work, ready to lounge around for the rest of the afternoon.
This isn't something to pick lightly. Your comfort, alongside your guest's is at risk.
You have to take comfort and style into consideration. It's an expensive investment, don't mess up.
Our personal recommendation is - keep things neutral. I like my black or grey couches, since they tend to blend better with any carpet, coffee table, and curtains.
Elite Tinting and Graphics brings you cutting-edge solutions with Residential Window Film. Reduce heat, glare, and protect against harmful UV rays, all while maintaining a bright and inviting living space. Let the natural light in while keeping the elements at bay, creating an atmosphere that is both cozy and energy-efficient.
The Center Of Attention - The Coffee Table
yes, you can cheap out on this, and grab just your basic round table, or just some generic end table, but is it really going to do the trick?
You have to think Do I want a nice glass table that I can decorate underneath with fake plants for some life, or do I want something more solid with added storage options?
Is it something that's easily cleaned? Remember, drinks are going to be constantly on the table, and on occasion it's going to be used as a foot rest. Don't get anything that'll stain quickly or have visible dings over time.
The Theater Setup
We don't really have a preference for this. You can either install a nice quality 4K TV since they're now extremely affordable, alongside a decent speaker system, or my personal favorite, gather a projector from vankyo that are affordable and can produce bright images at a budget, and wire some speakers to the oposite end to give a more vivid image.
Whichever you chose, make sure the image is crystal clear, and fits between the wall frames.
And please, for the love of god, do not put your TV above a fireplace. Any heat or smoke coming out will damage the TV. Plus, it just looks tacky.
Window Film
That's right, we're down to our sales pitch!
When watching TV, when the light hits the windows at the right glare, you're unable to enjoy your show or the news with the colors being washed out and causing strain on your eye.
Reduce heat, glare, and protect against harmful UV rays, all while maintaining a bright and inviting living space. Let the natural light in while keeping the elements at bay, creating an atmosphere that is both cozy and energy-efficient.
Finishing Touches!
Here's where you ca let your personality flow freely. That coffee table you just got is now looking bland, and you gotta spice it up. Introduce some cool coffee table books that showcase your personalities and interest. Have magaznes, coasters, fidget toys, you name it!
Your living room is not just a space; it's a reflection of your lifestyle and taste. Elevate your comfort and style with Elite Tinting and Graphics when it comes to window film, where every detail matters.
